Lesson 10: External Links

Return to Lesson 9

Continue on with Lesson 11

This lesson will show you how to link to other webpages outside of your own. Basically it's the same as an internal anchor only instead of a keyword you need to know the exact URL of the webpage you want to link to. For example: Miles ISD That would set up a link to the Miles ISD homepage. All you would see on the browser would be Miles ISD but when you clicked on the words, you would be taken to the Miles ISD homepage. Another example: Click here to go to NASA and learn about space exploration. Through the web browser you will see "Click here to go to NASA and learn about space exploration". If you click on the words "Click here" it will take you to the NASA website. Only the words "Click here" will take you there. The actual link is usually in a different color and we will learn to change those colors later on. Assignment 10 Ok, now you know enough of the basics to start creating your own webpages. Create your own personal webpage with at least 3 links to other webpages. end of lesson
