Surviving Sources:

Note: This section of the webpage has been removed for the time being. I haven't had time to update this section recently and while I own all the books that pictures were scanned from, I did not take the time to research each book to be certain that the book is in the public domain. Assuming that some of these books have, indeed, had their copyrights renewed, then I do not have permission from said publishers to post scans or quotes from their books to the internet. I know that some people have found this to be a valuable research resource and a good place to begin research. I originally created the page to help other people find a direction for their historical quilt research. I spent thousands of hours doing research for several projects of my own and afterwards if I could save others a little time and effort by posting the scans I had made and the quotes from the books, I was happy to do that and share the information. While those people were content to understand that the information posted here had no guarantees as to correctness (many of the old books have misleading information) and may or may not be copyright free, I was content to leave the page to assist others with their personal research. But in this day and age of copyright correctness and a lawsuit happy culture, leaving the page up to simply provide a free resource to help others is no longer an option. And so the pages had to come down. The bibliography remains and I will eventually add to that and perhaps some comments about what info is in what books. I also anticipate the addition of more class handouts and other useful information in the future. but, alas, the actual source information had to go.
